not only remembering where it was buried, but that it came up perfectly clean. then won me a turtle, then won me an onionskin.

suite for piano
"Anyhow, the pork chops were perfectly normal; then: mashed
potatoes, warm beets, sliced unpeeled apple strewn with paprika, and a
large cup of coffee with cream! I was probably expected to eat all of this at
the same time, since it was brought to me all together, in fact the
paprika-apple and the chops shared the same plate!"
Bela Bartok to his family in Budapest, from Seattle, 18 January 1928.
allegretto
frost dives into the centre of each
rabbit and comes out shaking. the moon hovers, white slice on a bright day.
above all fields are the new girls, wearing shorn hats and bustierres, serving
wooden cubes to rubber men. the old relation is kept but we still don’t fit in
the aeroplane. here we are instead serving sub-zero, hanging from nylon strings
underneath the bomb carriage, tangling together in the rubbishy wind.
scherzo
our apology wears fur. our apology is
quite sure of having had no idea. but do submit your dent below ear for a
kissing. natural selection will tell us who was naughty. oh it pulls at the
corners of our eyes. what a gesture. even stenographers can perform it and they
often have to. employment is a form of attitudinal tic, by which we mean we’re
just serving truthful sandwiches. we don’t choose the way the crusts will cut.
allegro molto
if you’ve been around you’ll know what’s
building. if you’ve been around you probably think you want to be spoke and not
gravel. you might have eyes that cannot be harried that won’t trundle hoops and
into which a life can drop without a wink.
sostenuto
backstage, under the piano watching. the
lengthy girls do their legs. mother is busy with the safety pins. not everyone
can be paid in desserts. an aeroplane has a lot of weight but it has a lot to
carry. the future. the sweetness of a phenotype. clotted cream. a national
renewal. if you leave the car running will anyone open the door for you. I heard
the sigh but I have my own dolls here. something has dropped. and so.

What is the difference between eye and light?
The difference is that eye is the dark brown center of a black-eyed susan flower while light is a cross-light in a double acrostic or triple acrostic.
What is the difference between hay and mote?
The difference is that hay is a circular country dance while mote is a place of meeting for discussion.
What is the difference between slide and glib?
The difference is that slide is to cause to move in continuous contact with a surface while glib is to castrate; to geld; to emasculate.
That is the difference is that slide is an item of play equipment that children can climb up and then slide down again while glib is a mass of matted hair worn down over the eyes.
Sill can be a young herring or sill can be the shaft or thill of a carriage. But as an adjective safe is not in danger. Safe is free from harm's reach.

reformative training
the social work intern is surprised that the youths must squat to greet visitors to the centre. the shock puts him in a sombre mood.
-
the social work intern has an immediate sense of the loss of dignity among the youths when he sees them squatting at toilets in full view of the staff.
-
the social work intern arranges a game of crab soccer. he want to slow the youths' dynamics so he can observe them more closely. he's here to learn. everyone on their hands and knees.

I sat here on this sofa and spoke very quietly to you. And I cried. It's so warm and safe in there. Nothing will harm you. I am not sure I can think of why you would want to come out. I'm not sure I want you to come out. Can I think of a reason? It is very beautiful out here. There are amazing things out here, every day. Wait till you see the sky. And trees, and birds. And you'll meet your grandparents - you have so many - and they already love you so much. We'll travel, we'll go and see them. And we'll see where they live, which is your home too. We've got everything ready. Almost. Close enough. It's okay to come now when you're ready.
