And plastic bags that fit over the socks. her husband is beside me, unresponsive, hating this, eyes closed. doesn't want to talk to us. I realise (she lets me know) the bags are just packaging, not fashion. The sandals are supposed to go over the socks. Still I can wear it that way too, it's very hip, no one else will wear it.
