I was travelling through a large cave system, with many underground pools and rivers. I needed to be in the water - to swim, to drink or to travel downstream - but many of the pools were too shallow. I dived into one, holding my limbs close to my body - it was just deep enough for me but I had to be very careful. I made it safely. The water was stagnant, though and I had to find a way to go on.
